Today when Seth was sitting on the potty, I asked him several times if he had finished, with no response. Finally I said, "Seth, have you finished? You need to say yes or no."
How cute! He was being so obediant but was so unplugged from what you meant. :D There are some spiritual applications here - how often do I do the same thing to God? Living according to the letter of the law with no real comprehension of the principle behind it.
